Performance and ticket details

2017 is the 200th anniversary of the death of Jane Austen, probably Hampshire’s most famous resident. SADS will commemorate her life and work with our first ever  performance in the garden of Longstock Park Nursery.

Young Jane is a set of three short plays by local author    Cecily O’Neill adapted from Jane’s juvenilia. The plays reveal Jane as a feisty teenager, poking fun at marriage, pompous dinner parties and romantic novels of the period. We shall supplement the plays with songs and dances of the period, for a lively and entertaining celebration of the razor sharp wit and sheer sense of fun of a budding genius.

Note: this is an outdoor performance. Bring your own chairs and wrap up warm.

Tickets £8.00 - available on-line (10% booking fee - see below) and from John Robinson Butchers, Garden Inn (both Stockbridge) and Kings Somborne, Post Office
