We'd love you to come and join us for our fun and friendly gatherings where we read and perform play extracts, sketches, prose and poems from the serious to the comic, and generally celebrate all things theatrical.
With a break for tea and biscuits and the pub afterwards, what’s not to like!
We meet in Stockbridge Town Hall at 7.30pm on the first Tuesday of the month between October and May.

An Acting Workshop
3rd February
Really excited to offer an acting workshop this season!
Develop your skills, learn new techniques and have a lot of fun.
(It’d be helpful to know numbers, so please do email to say you’re coming)
You'll rehearse in groups on a play extract of your choosing - a selection will be provided. Over the course of the evening, we'll practise a range of techniques that you can apply in your rehearsals. The focus will be on character building through voice, movement and interaction. At the end of the evening, all groups will be invited to perform their scenes for each other to show off your hard work!
Whether you're a seasoned performer or usually prefer to stay behind the scenes, here's a chance to enjoy bringing a script to life in a no-pressure environment
Home Grown
3rd March
The session "Home Grown" will comprise scenes, poems, prose & songs written by SADS members, their friends or relatives. Authors can perform their own work or have a performer chosen for them. If you have something to contribute or want to write something (no more than 10 minutes) please get in touch - the sooner the better.
Words and Music
14th April
Words and Music will be an uninterrupted flow of readings on various themes inspired by the musical elements of the evening. As on previous occasions we’re looking for volunteers to sing (solo or group) or play an instrument. We will need to know the musical choices well in advance as they will provide the inspiration for the readings.
